river regatta 06 has officially ended yest.
n yes, it was the
virgin race for me.
didnt think that they wld put me in the race.
cos after all, i'm super new in the team.
but they did n i got to race.
first day (heats)got to row in mixed B and women's A.
dunno why women's A.
cos its supposed to be da senior's boat.
heats was not dat bad.
mixed A 2nd.
mixed B got 3rd.
women's A got 2nd.
cant reali rmb da rest.
it rained super heavily during noon.
so candice n me went off first.
since there's no more rowing for us.
second day (finals)ming (the capt) changed mixed B to mixed A.
n we rowed against da "giants".
cos its those giant-looking teams.
so we got third.
but our team got penalised.
officials said dat our coaxwain let go of da rope too early.
damn sad la.
den our women's A lost.
our competitors was the national team and
some other super garang team.
i cried after dat race.
cos we didnt meet up wif the expectations!
da seniors keep assuring me it was ok.
cos it was only my first race.
den they changed da women's B to women's A.
again, we lost.
like fark.
by dat time, i got no more tears to cry.
overall, our team got 3rd for mixed open.
n smth for men's plate final.
after dat, a bunch of us (on junie's lorry)
went to kallang stadium to wash up
before da team's dinner.
team's dinner was at MasinThai Restaurant at eunos.
my god.
we ate like hungry ghosts!
haha.
before dat was speech n all.
den after eating, a whole load of crap.
played ard la.
reali damn crappy.
took a whole bunch of pics.
got to bond wif more ppl.
had a great time.
overall, it was reali great.
though the race was abit disappointing for us
and alot of us feels like shit
(due to some stuff),
i believe that we'll work even harder for da next race.
